Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.15 dated.27.02.2014 U/s 7P.C. Act was registered against Dr. Debendra Naik, Surgery Specialist, District Head quarter Hospital, Jharsuguda for demand of illegal gratification of 2,000/- from the complainant Jatin Saraf of Vill- Raghunathpalli, Dist-Jharsuguda for conducting Hydrosil operation of his nephew who was admitted at Dist. Headquarters Hospital, Jharsuguda on 22.2. 2014.
In course of investigation a trap was laid on 28.2.2014 by the Vigilance Officers of Sambalpur Division. Accused Dr. Debendra Naik was caught red handed by the Vigilance Officers at Dist. Headquarters Hospital, Jharsuguda, while accepting bribe amount 2,000/- from the Complt. Mr. Saraf as per previous demand. Bribe amount 2,000/- was recovered from the pant pocket of Dr. Naik and seized in presence of witnesses. His hand & pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe.
