woman paid supari to kill a woman in sambalpur

Police have arrested three persons including a woman in connection with murder of an unmarried woman and forwarded them to court on Friday. The victim was identified as Gulapi Bhue (35) of Talab village under Sasan police limits.

Reports said Gulapi had gone to the village tank on April 12 evening. On her way back, two unidentified motorcycle bAorne miscreants waylaid her and attacked her with sharp weapons. Gulapi managed to reach home and was rushed to VSS Medical where she succumbed to injuries.

The police were clueless about the cause of murder till the arrest of Dilsad Ahmed, Sumanta Pradhan and Sitala Patel. Interrogation of the three persons revealed that Sitala, also of the same village, suspected her husband Sanjib Patel of having illicit relationship with Gulapi. The two women had a tiff over the issue.

Sitala decided to kill Gulapi to end the matter. She paid supari of Rs 60,000 to Dilsad Ahmed and Sumanta Pradhan to eliminate Gulapi. The Police recovered Rs 40,000 of the supari amount besides the knife used for attacking Gulapi.
